This work speaks about fragility, femininity and the quiet strength that can exist within softness. I was interested in creating a figure that does not fully reveal itself, but feels present through emotion, gesture and form.

The shape appears almost like a body, a flower, or something in between. For me, this uncertainty is important. I wanted the work to stay delicate and open, without becoming too literal. The floral motifs can be seen as a way to ground the metaphor — not as a direct symbol, but as something that carries the feeling of transformation, sensitivity and quiet growth.

In my practice, emotion is always central. I often return to inner states that are difficult to name — tenderness, vulnerability, balance, and the small transformations that happen quietly inside us. In this piece, I wanted to explore that fragile moment where softness becomes strength, and where something subtle can still carry a strong presence.

I chose the French word Délicatesse for the title because it holds a feeling that is difficult to translate directly. It suggests not only delicacy, but also fragility, refinement and a certain emotional subtlety. For me, this word carries the atmosphere of the painting more precisely than a simple English title could.
