Body Inspection is an original artwork painted with acrylic on canvas.

The title works in both a direct and a slightly metaphorical way. At first, the figure seems to be simply looking down at his own body, caught in a quiet, almost funny moment of self-checking. But for me, the work is also about the way we observe ourselves, question ourselves, and sometimes become a little too aware of our own physical presence.

There is something very human in this gesture. The body is not idealized here. It is not posing or trying to appear perfect. It is just there, exposed, heavy, soft, real, and slightly awkward. I wanted to capture that small private moment when a person suddenly turns inward and starts inspecting themselves, not only physically, but emotionally too.

The loose lines, unfinished areas, and raw brush marks leave space for movement and imperfection. The background stays open and quiet, while the figure carries most of the tension. For me, this work is about the fragile relationship we have with our own bodies: the humor, the discomfort, the curiosity, and the strange tenderness of simply being human.
