From One to Another

When I painted this piece, I was thinking about words as a bridge between people. Sometimes a conversation brings us closer to someone we thought we had very little in common with. Or a few words stay in our minds long after the person who said them has forgotten.
The figures overlap, and their lines become part of each other. I think something similar happens when we talk. We pick up a thought, recognise a feeling, see something a little differently. Then we take a little of that person with us into our own lives.
