Meaning of the title:
Limen is a Latin word meaning threshold. It describes a boundary or transitional point between one state and another, a space that is neither fully one thing nor the next.
Description:
LIMEN reflects on the condition of the modern human, suspended between freedom and self-imposed limitation. It questions whether, in gaining more ways to define ourselves, we have also created new structures, expectations and invisible boundaries to fit within. The work exists in this in-between space, where identity is constantly shifting, searching and becoming.
