The empty space is as much a part of the painting as the grass itself.

A fragment of wild grass moves across the canvas, caught somewhere between stillness and motion. Rather than describing a landscape, the painting isolates a small, almost ordinary moment in nature and gives it space to become the subject.

The larger open area on the left is intentional. It leaves room for the movement to continue, as if the wind were carrying the grasses beyond what is visible. The composition is deliberately unbalanced in this way, allowing the empty space to suggest direction, air and something still in motion.

Soft earthy tones and loose, interrupted marks keep the image from becoming fixed. The grasses appear for a moment and almost disappear again, leaving the painting somewhere between observation and memory.
