The Gathering is a painting about presence. About how people don’t just enter a room, they change it.
In this work, the figures merge into one pulsing composition, like a single organism made of many different voices. The brushstrokes overlap, collide, and melt into each other, turning individuality into collective energy. Nothing stays separate for long.
It captures that specific feeling of being surrounded by interesting, different people: the tension, the curiosity, the noise, the warmth. A space becomes charged, almost alive, as if the air itself has been painted over.
